The Executive Retreat (ER) from Daniel Lim's perspective
God is AWESOME!
That’s all I can say!
The last weekends (25-27 September) had been a life-changing moments. More than one time, my spirit burst out joy and wonders as I hear people sharing the supernatural and life-changing stories God has done.
A former death-row inmate turned into a new-born pastor
A former drunkard, violent husband and dad, turned into a man who could shed tears of repentance on stage when he recap how bad he treated his children and wife
A former proud and dangerous military man who led a military havoc in Philippine year 2003 called “Oakwood Mutiny” turned into a humble servant of God
A hateful man whom brother was killed, turned into someone who is willing to forgive, and share the love of Jesus with that very man who killed his own brother.
A man who used to own almost everything a man wants in the world, yet lost it all over night, humbled, and decided to live right for God, surrendered to Jesus, and God lifted him up again.
Jesus changes lives! You may think that money, position, military power or any other human efforts can change lives, like the men I mentioned above, yet they failed. Now they understood:
We can only live a new life in Jesus, and no where else. That’s why they are bold to stand up for Jesus, because they witnessed what Jesus did to them, and changed them
I thank God for every moments spent in Executive Retreat. I enjoyed working with influencial Executives who desire to know God, and please God and God alone in their lives. My heart is thankful as I see God is working in mighty and powerful ways!
Most of all, I am excited about journeying with a God whom no one could stop Him from doing great and mighty works wherever He wants, and that I am part of this wonderful plan.

Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Philippines to Scandavania (Norway, German and Iceland). Her conviction to be an ambassador for Christ touched me deeply.
To me, she is more like a missionary than an ambassador. She always say that her job is to bring Gospel to everyone she come in touch with, and her "other job" is to be a diplomat. Her life impacted me to see our primary calling as Ambassador of Christ, and secondly, our identity on earth.

Rev. & Mrs. Peter Tan-chi, the founder of Christ Commission Fellowship in Manila. Their humility and vital relationship with God tell me that the greatest asset a person can have is that genuine love towards God and towards people around them. His simplicity in delivering the messages of God also leave long-lasting impact in my mind.
Formerly a military man, notable professor in military school of Philippine, a would-be general of Philippine, laid down everything and follow where God wants him to be- -start all over, and be a full time missionary with Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ.

Geri/Geraldo Gembala. Don't undemine this physically small guy. He was former Philippine military man, fought 8 years of endless Philippine sounthern border war, and was the leader who led a group of 321 armed soldiers who called themselves "Bagong Katipuneros", held their country "hostage" for 24 hours on July 27, 2003, in an event commonly called "Oakwood Mutiny". He met Jesus in prison, and his life is transformed. My aquaintance with him was wonderful, and you can 'smell' the humility of Christ in him! He is now serving with PCCC Leader's Movement, as a staff ministering mainly to the military of Philippine, and worldwide.

These were only some of the people whom life had been transformed by Jesus Christ. There are more people who joined the Executive Retreat have met Jesus Christ in special ways too! Their lives are beautiful, and I was ministered by God deeply as I see their lives.
I too, want to live such a life that is worthy of God’s grace- – His transforming, freely-given and eternal grace.

Congratulations!
We congratulate the 6 New Staff who have just completed Staff Training 2007/2009. Let's pray for them to be successful in the ministry life from beginning till the end. Their Graduation Theme is 1 Dream, 1 Life & 1 Generation.
Praying for them as we Commission them to Go!
All six of them. Happy to have completed training. But guys & gals, remember. To be successful and to finish well will be your goal. Remember 2 things. Walk with Jesus - pitch your tent of meeting with God and 2ndly, discipline.
The song they presented said, only 1 life to do it right for HIM!

A story from Jeremy's blog
A Story to live by There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.
'有一位瞎女很討厭自己因為眼睛瞎了。她也討厭每個人,唯一不討厭的是她的男朋友,因為他都常守在她身旁。於是她對她的男朋友說:「如果能讓我看到這個世界,我愿意嫁給你!」
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
Life Is a Gift
Todaybefore you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion..
Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who died too early on this earth.
Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job..
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.
