What's Your Keirsey Personality Type?

You are abstract, pragmatic, directive, and expressive. You tend to be highly skilled in situational organizing, directing your own actions and those of others. Your talent for contingency planning is a close second to your ability to coordinate, decide, and execute a strategy. Born an engineer, you want to break an idea or concept into its most fundamental parts, subject those parts to intense scrutiny, and reassemble the idea before giving it your final approval. You have a strong desire to give structure and direction to groups of people. Of all the role variants, you are the most likely to see where an organization is headed, and you want to communicate that vision to others. You often rise to positions of responsibility in work and enjoy being an executive. You may not actively seek out leadership responsibilities, but will often volunteer yourself to take charge in situations where leadership is absent or has failed, or where a power vacuum suddenly exists. You search more for goals and policy than you do for procedures and regulations. You take a straightforward and tough-minded attitude toward tasks, approaching them with impartial analysis, and basing your decisions on well thought-out plans, impersonal data, and overall probability of success. You expect others to follow your vision, and you are willing to remove stumbling blocks that prevent a given system from being fully productive. For you, there must be a goal-directed reason for executing any plan. People's emotions are generally considered secondary to raw data in any decision-making process. Famous Fieldmarshals include Napolean Bonaparte, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, and Margaret Thatcher.

A story from Jeremy's blog

A Story to live by There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.
'有一位瞎女很討厭自己因為眼睛瞎了。她也討厭每個人,唯一不討厭的是她的男朋友,因為他都常守在她身旁。於是她對她的男朋友說:「如果能讓我看到這個世界,我愿意嫁給你!」
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

A little Story to Cheer you up!

The only survivor of a shipwreckwas washed up on a small, uninhabited island.

He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him,and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hutout of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food,he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened; everything was lost.He was stunned with grief and anger."God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.

"How did you know I was here?"asked the weary man of his rescuers.

"We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad.But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the groundit just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves,God has a positive answer.

You say: "I'm too tired"

You say: "I can't go on"
God says: My grace is sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalm 91:15)

You say: "I can't figure things out"
God says: I will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You say: "I can't do it"
God says: You can do all things (Philippians 4:13)

You say: "I'm not able"
God says: I am able (II Corinthians 9:8)

You say: "It's not worth it"
God says: It will be worth it (Roman 8:28)

You say: "I can't forgive myself"
God says: I Forgive you (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)

You say: "I'm poor"
God says: I will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)

You say: "I'm afraid"

The Purpose of Breaking!

Breaking the Lamb's leg

A woman who took a vacation to visit family back in Ireland. While she was there, she visited an uncle who was a shepherd. While visiting with him, she walked into a barn and saw a young lamb with its leg in a splint. “Awwww, what happened?” she wanted to know. “Oh,” said the old shepherd, “he had a bad habit of running off, so yesterday, I broke his leg.”When the old man told her that, she was appalled. “Why on earth would you do that”, she asked. “Well”, he said, “the little guy had a bad habit of running off. Every time he would do that, he would be in danger. He could fall off the edge of a cliff and kill himself, or a wolf or some other predator could find him, kill him and eat him. He was a stubborn little guy, too. Every time he ran off, I would have to go find him. Then, I would set him with the rest of the flock only to have him run off again. So, I broke his leg. But, that’s not the end of it. After I broke his leg, I also mended it. I put a splint on it, all the while, I was talking to him, comforting him, consoling him. Now, I have to carry water in to him every day. Not only that, I have to feed him by hand. As I do, I continue to talk to him and comfort him. By the time his leg heals, he will know my voice. He will know that it is I who takes care of him. He will come when I call him. He will stay with me, no matter what. Now, I will be able to lead him, and the rest of the sheep will follow him. This lamb will one day be the best sheep of the flock – why, because yesterday, I broke his leg. In order to break its will, I had to break its leg.”Often, for God to be able to use us, He must first break us.

ThiNk aBoUt It!

A Message by George Carlin: a comedian in the 70's

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space.

We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait.

We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Jeremy & Jessalynn & Joey doing Battle nOw!

The following 3 photo describe Jeremy b4 his SPM.

I got a shock when I came back home before Hari Raya time to see Jeremy in his new hairstyle. I was wondering if he could get to school after Hari Raya Holiday without being called in to office of the Principle. But Jeremy told me to relax as it was just for 1 week fun and he cut his hair before school resume to the next photo.

This is how Jeremy looks like while doing his SPM now. He just finished his BM, English and History. Please cover him in prayers ok. Thanks.

Next is Jessalynn. Finishing her last 2 paper this week and next Monday and she completes 1 semester.....

Her best way to concentrate...I wonder how your kids behave before major exams! I do not have Joey's photo taken b4 exam. But I was with him this last week while I was in Kota Kinabalu. For Joey, after a stressful preparation, he would suggest we go watch James Bond, which we did. That was his way of de-stressing. He told me he will de-stressed by causing himself to be fully "Distracted" by something else. So, much so that his mind actually forgets about his study stress and attracted to this something else. So, for a while, he is not even thinking of exams, studies, and after that he comes back more fresh and ready to continue. Joey finishes he exam by Nov 23. What method is that?

Borneo Highland Trip

We were in Borneo Highland next to the border of Sarawak and Kalimantan for a retreat recently. The photo was taken at 3200+ feet above sea level which we scaled. 3 of us behind the notice were standing on Kalimantan side where as the guy sitting on the fence and the other 2 standing next to the sign board are still in M'sia side.

This is surely almost like once a lifetime experienced as most Sarawakian who I talked to, have not been to this resort before. This is really a nice place for a refreshing retreat. Cool, clean, fresh air, fantastic view of a whole sea of cloud in the morning. All Green Organic food, no meat. No soft drink sold, only coffee and tea and best of all, lemon grass tea! Praise the Lord for such an opportunity to be at this glorious location.

An Invitation to Men to join me for an Evening to Remember

Malaysia, along with the rest of the world, faces crisis of unprecedented proportions. Political, social, economic, religious, ecological and educational challenges create an environment of uncertainty. Yet perhaps the most critical crisis is that of moral and spiritual leadership. People are affected by the erosion of moral values that sustain societies and cultures. Today, people desperately need leaders who live out in the practice the values they verbally affirm.

Leaders, be it at home, business or in the society, must have not only knowledge and skills, but also a proven character and conviction to give them a platform to lead. The only sure foundation for developing leaders with such character and conviction is through a deep personal relationship with Christ.

We are convinced that change in homes, business and nation can only take place when the hearts of its people are changed. We all need a personal encounter with Christ which truly leads to a transformed life, then a transformed home and a transformed nation.

For this reason, we sincerely invite you to a very powerful “Evening of Transformation” which will take place on Oct 17th in Hilton Hotel, Kuching, and Oct 18th in TanahMas Hotel, Sibu. Sponsored by the Men’s Movement of Malaysia in partnership with Global Leadership Movement – A Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, which seek to work with Key Leaders working all over the World.

We believe you have experienced a personal transformation and God must have given you a conviction for a personal transformation, which will lead to a transformed home and a transformed nation. God, who had started a good work in your life, have also been at work in the hearts of many others in Malaysia. The “Evening of Transformation” seek to warm your hearts through surfacing many others like-minded who the Lord had raise up for such a time like these.

The Evening feature Guest Speakers,
Dr. Tom Roxas - President of the International Graduate Leadership School (IGSL) Asia, Director of Affairs for Campus Crusade South East Asia.
Dr. Andrew Liuson - One of the top Developer in Philippines and South East Asia who is Board Member of Campus Crusade for Christ International, also Board Chairman for IGSL, Board Chairman of Grace College Philippines, Chairman of FEBA.
Dr. Mike Morales – Retired Colonel, Associate Executive Director of Global Leadership Group, top Professor of Philippines Military Academy, Twice voted as Top Professors of the Philippines.
Mr. Geri Gambala – Former Army Captain who became known for leading the “Oakwood Mutiny” Coup in the Philippines in 2003. A Volunteer with Global Leadership Movement.

In his own words, Geri Gambala said, “In July 27, 2003, I led a group of soldiers to lay siege to a hotel in the Business Centre of Makati City. At that time I was convinced it was the way through which we could effect change in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and eventually in the Country as a whole. I want to change my Country. I want to change the World. But now I know that change starts from the heart, and only Jesus Christ can change a person’s heart.” Geri was sentenced to 20-50 years’ imprisonment. He spent 4 years, 9 months and 19 days in prison and was pardoned by the President after humbling himself before Christ and all governing authorities. Come and hear him share his encounter with Jesus. We are sure your hearts will be warmed!

God is truly raising up a new generation of Leaders like your kind-self who may already had an encounter with Christ in a powerful way. Synergize with us as we seek God for a transform Life, leading to a transformed Home and Transformed Nation.

Again, my most sincere Invitation to you to join me for an Evening to Remember! Email me or call me to confirm your coming.

It's great to have a Daughter! I really feel that way about Jessalynn

Agnes and I have been blessed with a daughter and she is non other than Jessalynn Koh. Jessalynn was the smallest baby amongst our 3 children but she is by no way small...

She has got a big heart for Jesus and surely she has alot of empathy for friends and that is why she has got tons of friends. Not only peers ok, some of her teachers are her best friends. She is trully a M'sian with friends amongst all races, and good friends ok!

This is how Jessalynn describe herself in her blog; Sincere, Strong perseverance, Able to think, Able to accept, Firm with own beliefs, Always improve..

Her Interest; piano.. guitar.. bass guitar.. set drum.. violin.. flute.. compose.. She completed grade 8 piano and she is very good in music. Any instruments she lay her hands on, she learned it by herself fast. Can you imagine her playing drum! then on one fine Sunday, while worshipping in Church, I was shock to find her playing the Bass guitar.

Personally, Jessalynn is very personable. She can laugh her heart out and she shed tears easily. She is real, sincere, loving, very freindly, lots of leadership, thrifty and like her brothers, she is 110% person. Either she is fully a 110% into things or nothing. She is active and always has tons of energy in her. Very helpful, class monitor, assistant head prefect, a sergeant with the Red Cresent while in school and now a Boy Brigade Instructor, she even won medals in sports (tug-a-war)and she has a biggest file filled with awards, recognition certificates. Most of all, a nice loving girl to call my daughter.I can't ask for more. I am very proud of her and I am surely proud to be known as her dad.

Jessalynn is in her 1st year doing HR Development at UTM and she has been active in helping her course-mates coming to know Jesus and actively discipling them. Pray with me for God's special protection over her and also pray that God will use her powerfully where she is right now. She can be reached at her email at youendien@yahoo.com or her blog at www.jessalynn88.blogspot.com

Jessalynn, like all of us, needed encouragement. Do share one with her ok! God bless you as you bless her.

Amazing Grocery List

Louise redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store...

She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries.

She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they need ed food..

John longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'please, sir! I will bring you the money just as
soon as i can.'

John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.

The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'do you have a grocery list?'

Louise replied, 'yes sir.' 'o.k' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, i will give you that amount in groceries.'

Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.

The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.

The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.

It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:
'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.

Louise thanked him and left the store. The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said;

'It was worth every penny of it. Only God knows how much a prayer weighs.'
The power of prayer: when you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do.

Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune.

I believe if you will send this testimony out with prayer in faith, you will receive what you need God to do in your and your families' life .

So dear heart, trust God to heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don't have as we do.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.

There is no cost but a lot of rewards.
May you always walk with angels
God bless!

i am claiming this for you

Three things will happen to you this coming week:
(1) you will find favor with someone you don't expect;

(2) you will be too relevant to be ignored;

(3) you will encounter God and you will never remain the same, amen.

My prayer for you today:

The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hands that will send this message to others shall not labour in vain, the mouth saying amen to this prayer shall laugh forever. Remain in God's love as you send this prayer to everybody on your list. Have a lovely journey of life! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and he will never fail you because He is awesome!

If you truly need a blessing, continue reading;

Heavenly Father, most gracious and loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly bless my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in You. Father, I send up a prayer request for blessings for not only the person who sent this to me, but for me and all that I have forwarded this message on to. And that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything. I thank You in advance for your blessings.

Father God, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt burdens. Release your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me Father, for I know how wonderful and mighty You are and how if we just obey You and walk in Your Word and have the faith of a mustard seed that You will pour out blessings. I thank You now Lord for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because i know You are not done with me yet. In Jesus name, I
pray, amen
